Biostar P4M80-M4

Mark: Very good

Biostar P4M80-M4 Intel Socket 478 motherboard

This is a Micro-ATX form factor board. I used it in Enlight Slim/Low Profile case model 7396AM1.

Warning: This case requires SLIM CD/DVD. Ordinary 5.5 inch CD does not fit. I obtained slim laptop CD/DVD device and adapter from www.directron.com.

  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Prescott and Celeron processors - 800/533/400 MHz system interface speed. Socket 478.
  • DDR400 RAM
  • SATA capable with adapter.
  • Chipset: VIA P4M800 / VT8237

Drivers:

  • Video - VIA P4M800 - S3 UniChrome Pro integrated - eCS 1.2R Scitech SNAP
  • LAN - VIA VT6103 - driver obtainable from Hobbes.
  • Sound - Realtek ALC655 AC97 CODEC - uniaud included in eCS 1.2R

I had a very pleasant experience with this board. Everything worked with eCS. I installed 1.2R and also 2.0 Beta 3a.
