Intel D975XBX2 Badaxe 2

Mark: Very good

BIOS update required to one post-2007-04 to correct IRQ routing table and allocate devices to separate IRQs instead of lumping them altogether under the same one.

Is running under Warp Server for eBusiness ACP1 + fixpack XR_C006 with backleveled kernel 14.104a.

  • ACPI.PSD 2.1.8 is working with /SMP /R /PIC /!NOD to allow use of a Core2Duo E6420 2.13GHz dual core processor.
  • Embedded LAN Intel PRO/1000 PL requires Genmac2.00+ extra driver to operate.
  • Sound is untested.
  • USB works fine.
  • Marvell SATA RAID is not in use and disabled in BIOS - four ports on the ICH7 plus the 5 I have on a Netcell RAID card is sufficient for me!
  • Video in use here is an Asus X300SE PCiE 128MB card and works fine with SNAP 3.1.8.

Each core of the E6420 is about twice the speed of the AMD Athlon XP 2500+ it replaced.

Ideas for the developers:

DevCon: Do you develop native applications? then you need additional window control elements.
