Burn Disc Image
The purpose of the operation is to burn a compact disk from an image,
previously saved to file (or set of files). To perform this operation you need
to select the location of the image file, to load a compact disk into the
recording device, to set this device as the recorder device, to select the
type and parameters for the burning, and then to press the Burn
button.
A standard ISO image used by most of the burning softwares is used by default,
unless cloning mode or audio disk image burning is selected.
Image burning management controls are listed below:
- Image
Source image of the compact disk. Use the button Select...
located near by the image description to select necessary file.
- Recorder
Recording device with an inserted compact disk on which the image should
be burnt. Use the button Select... located near by the device
description to select the correct device.
- Speed
- Allows to select the writing speed of compact disk. Writing/reading
speed of compact disks is specified as a coefficient of the minimal
speed for this type of media. Maximal speed (MAX) is an optimal choice
in most cases while using BURN-Free
technology. In case of errors or if a heavy usage of the computer is
planned during the burning of the compact disk, it is possible to lower
the write speed, using the button Select... near by the speed
value.
- Verify media after burning
- After burning is complete reads a media content being burned to check
the data is intact. It's handy to make sure you don't have bad media.
Reports any errors detected (if any).
- Eject disk after burning
- The media will be ejected from the recording device after image
burning completion.
- Copies
Sets the number of disks which are required to be burned. The user will
be prompted to change the media after each compact disk burning.
- Clone all disk data
Restores all available data (including auxillary data) and the full
table of content of a compact disk. Special images created with
DVD/CD Toys, have to be used for
this. The table of content must be stored in a file with the same name
as the image file and must have the extension .toc. This mode
can be used to backup a "copy-protected" disk or to restore a previously
saved Video-CD.
This option is ignored for the copy of an audio compact disk (this mode
is described below).
Warning: The cloning mode is only supported with
CD-ROM,
CD-R, and
CD-RW disks.
- Burn audio compact disk
Burns all tracks from a file containing standard PCM WAVE format data and
an accompanying file with the description of the according track positions
(Cue sheet). The file with the tracks description must have the same name
as the image file and must have extension .cue. This image format
is not a standard one, but it is widespread and used by most of the
burning softwares.
