Mark: Very bad

I have a Perfection 4490 Photo but have as yet failed to get it to work with Tame/2 and eCS. My two previous Epson scanners worked very well under Tame/2 so it would be nice to get this one working, too.

Sane search engine says it uses the epkowa backend: http://www.sane-project.org/cgi-bin/driver.pl?manu=EPSON&model=4490&bus=any&v=&p= epkowa.conf

Unfortunately whilst this scanner is supported by the epkowa driver, this particular model relies on a closed source library which isn't available for OS/2
