Cisco Aironet 350 Wireless LAN PC Card

Mark: Average

(This report is prepared by ecomstation.ru scout), source of information: Eduardo Vila

Message 2:

Aironet 350 WL Card works in OS/2 but doesn't in ECS 2.0

I solved the problem by replacing in \OS2\BOOT the drivers PCMCIA.SYS and PCMSSDIF.SYS with the old Warp 4 versions. It seems that there is a bug in the ECS 2.0 Versions.

The ECS 2.0 Versions are

PCMCIA.SYS: 10.148 - OS/2 Card Services 8.0 Device Driver.
PCMSSDIF.SYS: 10.148 - PCCard Storage Interface Driver for OS/2

The Warp 4 Versions are

PCMCIA.SYS: 10.56 - IBM OS/2 PCCard Card Services Device Driver. Version 1.55
PCMSSDIF.SYS: 10.57 - PCCard Storage Interface Driver for OS/2 Message 1:

I have a Cisco Aironet 350 Wireless Card working fine in my T23 running Warp 4. The driver I use is "Cisco Systems 340 Series Wireless Lan Adapter V 0.0"

Using the same driver in my ECS 2.0, the card doesn't work. No error messages at start up, no ligths in the card.

Any ideas?

Plug and Play for PCMCIA shows the card in a not ready status

My Warp is OS/2 4.52 Spain (Convenience Package - OS/2 Warp 4)

Ideas for the developers:

eComStation.. Is it OpenSource operating system or not? Many components of eComStation are opensource. Send add-ons for the table.
