ASUS A8V (AMD Athlon 64 X2)

Mark: Very bad

This motherboard CPU combo does not work with the any of the ACPI builds in SMP mode and it will not boot at all with ACPI 2.13. I am only able to boot to a command line with this version even without the /SMP switch.

The board does work well with the IBM SMP packaage but the APM support is bugy.

I did not test SATA on this system but the onboard Marvell Gigabit Nic works great.(Not with the ACPI package of course because it will not boot using the ACPI driver.)
